Role Responsibilities
As a Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector (QEWI), you will be at the forefront of the organizations technical operations, leveraging your expertise to lead and enhance the organization’s technical capabilities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Utilizing your QEWI licensure to take ownership of the technical aspects of exterior wall inspections, ensuring all work meets the highest industry standards.
- Acting as the organization’s primary technical authority on external wall systems, providing expert advice to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Preparing and signing off on detailed inspection reports, offering actionable recommendations for remediation or maintenance based on your professional judgment.
- Driving technical innovation within the organization by staying informed about the latest developments in building regulations, safety standards, and inspection methodologies.
- Mentoring and guiding junior team members, ensuring consistent knowledge-sharing and adherence to best practices across the organization.
- Collaborating with project teams, contractors, and engineers to deliver effective solutions for complex wall system challenges.
- Representing the company in technical discussions with clients and regulatory bodies, building trust and maintaining our reputation for excellence.
Role Requirements:
- QEWI licensure from NYCDOB or in process to obtain this within 3 months is essential
- Professional Engineer or Registered Architect licensure is required
- Minimum 7 years experience in repair/restoration of facades (FISP) is required
- Experience in leading and managing teams from a senior level position
- Experience in fostering strong client/contractor relationships
- Experience in business development is desirable
- Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering required
